Hello! On my CP19 I installed a Dwyer dual hinge-pin mount/tabernacle:

Which in-turn raised the mast about 1" off the original deck position (with the new base mount). This now effects the shrouds, with the turnbuckle now to the extreme length without access to the cotter pin hole:

I have searched rigging sites and see the 1/4" standard hardware does not have any toggle-only longer length options. Just asking experienced out there if this in fact the case, and I will just have to get new wire shroud lines with an additional 1" length for those. Or if anyone has another possible solution, that would be most helpful. Thanks Much!!

I don't know exactly but I think it is possible to use double toggles or extenders, or longer toggles if available. The guys above will know.

Thanks Tom, I know their Double Jaw Toggle 1/4 pin 1 1/16" CPL seems to be the standard pin-to-pin length. Evey site I have checked seems this is the only length option for the 1/4" rigging components, but I will contact them and check, thanks for the tip!

When I installed the Ballenger mast hinge on my C23, I merely cut the bottom of the mast by the amount the hinge raised the rig.....hence, no messing with the standing rigging. This also trued up the bottom of the mast, which in many cases on older boats, has suffered some combination of corrosion and getting banged up.
Hi Peter, yes that was a total oversight on my end. But I will be dropping the mast again, maybe I could just do that! I did think about it after I raised it single-hand and almost had a stroke trying to heave it on the cabin deck. Didn't wan to take down again at that point, but now I plan a gin pole so that probably would be the best solution.
Andy- the last C19 I had was when I was in my early sixties, and raising and lowering the mast was becoming challenging. My first C19 was in my forties, and uprigging or downrigging was accomplished in less than half an hour with no gin pole. The C23, in my late sixties, required the fabrication of a gin pole assembly to go with the very sturdy Ballenger hinge, and raising and lowering became very manageable. Enjoy your C19- this and the 23 are my favorites of the four Compacs I've owned over the years. I am now downsized to a Precision15 for wind powered boating, and a Ranger Tug for actually getting somewhere in a straight line!
