Title: rigging jib sheets
Post by: Ed Epstein on August 31, 2017, 05:23:39 AM
Can anyone explain the pros and cons of running jib sheets outside of shrouds or inside?

Thanks
Ed

When sailing down wind you can control the shape of your to a better trim...............also you are pinching the jib out of shape by running inside and making shape of distorted.............the manual also shows the jib sheet outside...........nies

'not jest jibbin'

I don't know about each of your jibs or crafts
but the general rule I have read about jibs
is to have the jib 'line' between 7° to 13° off the craft's centerline
so based on this, think... about your inside or outside the shrouds arrangement
