This may have been already answered clearly, but I didn't find it, so I want to know how do you typically attach materials to the walls inside the cabin of a CP-16? I'm guessing the normal picture hanging method (drill a hole, if it's in a stud use a screw or otherwise use a backing device for the screw) wouldn't be so helpful, and my admiral wants to be able to better organize things (e.g. hanging pockets and the like. Her idea was to use Velcro.
I'm open to guidance... anyone have advice on how to attach things to walls for cell-phone/wallet holders, drink holders, lifejacket bins, etc?

velcro glue will 'melt' in cabin heat...and it's echy when it does, hard to clean up
BUT
DuraLock will not. You can get it in different width and lengths
quite tough, used in the auto industry for side panels
Thank you for this question! Just tried velcro last week to hang wires. Didn't last the day. Hope someone has a good answer.
Rigger, do you happen to have a link to the DuraLock? I tried to find it online but wasn't coming up with anything that looked like the stuff you described. It sounds like a great solution.
I'm hopeful it's this stuff:

which I ordered and will try cutting things to size to see how it works.
tmw,
Resists heat up to 200 degrees, sounds pretty good, maybe clean the surface with something like denatured alcohol first to make sure you get a good bond.

I got a mesh organizer similar to this but more pockets at a local discount store. It had velcro on the top and bottom seams and also had brass eyelets in the corners. Thought I would start out with the velcro and when it failed I would install some hooks for the grommets. That was four years ago, still haven't installed the hooks. It is on the teak ply bulkhead between the cabins, not so sure if it would work on the fiberglass hull.
I know what won't work, and that is those 3M command hooks. Lasted about ten minutes.

We are ameysails, at the mere rank of 'rigger'
so
search for the DuraLock as 3M Dura Lock
it's like a velcro approach bu best adhesive and better hold
it's all plastic, so waterproof
it's used in auto repair to hold plastic panels
