Title: ASA Bareboat Cert
Post by: Chip Estabrooks on August 31, 2004, 08:25:31 PM
Does anyone have any recommendations on a place to take the ASA 104 Bareboat Certification?
I'm from Missouri and getting to the coast is no problem.

Chip -

Contact Richard Crisler, he teaches on his CP-33 down in Biscayne Bay, and is a super nice guy.
Title: ever make it to FL for the sailing course?

Chip,

I was just browsing through the forum and noticed this.

Did you ever make it to Florida to take the ASA 104 course?

btw - Richard is at a US Sailing certified school.  ASA and US Sailing are
two different organizations.  I don't know for sure how interchangeable
the certifications are.  Not that it matters all that much.  The point of taking
any of these courses is to get experience and possibly so that you can charter
later on (though if you have experience on your own boat that counts too).
