Folks,
Me and my foredeck crew (Admiral Ellen), will be at show on Thursday for VIP day. There is an upstairs outside bar (Purssers?) that had great view of show and good drinks. We will be there for lunch +. We also will be at gin and rum tasting tents later...
We have 2 day pass, so would like to know if/when others may be looking for a break from the crowd.
Regards,
Brian

Now your English teacher is watching...
so that will be a $1K fine for using "me" as the subject of a sentence
Now if, per chance, Me is your name (like Me Yung Park)
then you are off the hook for the $1K
Me thinks you should get another swill in Annapolis to make your head
become steady in all this hot air.
see you there

Looks like Saturday for me too. Wife still in Austin doing her FEMA gig, so not sure if my better half will be there to watch my spending, I mean, my investing in needed upgrades for added safety...
Well Ocracoke is calling, but Annapolis BS is mighty fun! Me be thinkin (assume the grammar holiday is still in effect) that one day in Annapolis may cost the same as a week on Ocracoke. Hmm....Maybe Ocracoke afterwards?
Ya'll would have been amused watching me polish up the rub rail on Interlude backing her in this week! Mas had been neglected as of late but did wash her up a couple days ago. She also got a new canvas boom tent. Looking proud now. :)
So.......we are moving towards being there. I am hearing Saturday from everyone?
We are out, family obligations have arisen. :(
Bought 2 day pass, reserved hotel (free with travel rewards) and work is killing us. Ellen us working everyday for FEMA, she is back in NJ, my jab has me in San Fran bay mon-wed.
I will take red-eye to Baltimore and make it to show, solo, on Thursday. I may be their Friday morning also, before drive home.
The boss and I will be there on Saturday with my imaginary checkbook!
Spent a Few hours at show yesterday, after surviving red-eye flight from San Francisco. I found a single tube Magicfix fiberglass chip and hairline crack fix. It was $20 a tube.
I did find it after lunch of 2 Pain killers and a hot dog at Pussers upstairs rooftop hangout.
So, that and lack of sleep is why I paid $40 for 2 little tubes of unknown worth.
For out of towners, I stayed at Doubletree Annapolis, and they had free shuttle service to show running until 10pm.
Day was hot, French beneteu and Juneau fleets were well assembled. No surprises in the less than 25' range. Had good conversations with CDI, Torqeedo, and Lehr manufacturing reps. Bauer and Hutchins were there (Sunday and picnic cats on display.
My admiral (read as wife Ellen) was ordered to deploy to Atlanta as part of FEMA Puerto Rico relief, so I drive to NJ today to bring her to airport. More solo sailing planned for October...
