Folks,
I have a tight fit at slip, and CP 19-2 came with very large anchor. It does not fit on bowsprit roller. And not working for slip dimensions.
I moved it to cockpit, but it was too big to deploy easily.
I just picked up light weigh/smaller aluminum Fortress, it fits well in locker but not on the bow roller. I sail in a mud bottom bay, with a bit of sand. If I know in advance I will be anchoring, I secure the fortress to the bow pulpit by line. It is hooked to 8 ft of chain.
Besides the plow anchor, are many of you storing your anchor on the bow roller?
Thanks
I have mine on the roller. Actually just put it out there today.
When in the water, I store mine on the roller. I drilled a hole through it and "pin" it. I'm not home, so I'll post a pic in a couple days.
Th anchor that came with the boat has a pin set up, but issue is it extends too far forward (adds about a foot), and is conveniently shaped like the trireme ram from when Ben Hur was a galley slave. It also acts as one, we took out our dock box last season. Looks like I will hang it from bow pulpit eventually, but previous owner cut off that part of bow pulpit (with attached bow light). Project justs keeps getting bigger. Will put hanger on stern rail and deal with it over the winter.
Should have had Allen and Bob work on it at Barnegat bay bash. At least then I would have a real reason to replace the entire bow pulpit...
