Title: New sailboat
Post by: rbh1515 on July 23, 2017, 06:32:14 PM
Just got a new sailboat for my vacation home up north.  Well, I took my 14' Wilderness Systems Tarpon 140, and added a sail set up from Kayaksailor out of Oregon.  The setup is stable in 15-20 knot winds...check out their YouTube vids!
This pic is from their web site: the owner also sailing in a 14' Tarpon 140.

Apparently will sail within 45 degrees of the wind...prob about the same as my HDC.

The best part of the picture is the relaxed dog facing into the wind...
now can it do some sheet handling?

The Kayaksailor is working out great!  Vid of my daughter the first day:

The second day she was out in 15 knot winds with no problem!
Here's me in 12 knot winds:

saw your "FIRST SAIL" on You Tube
there are those 'seats' (seem like closed foam) that go up on the freeboard
can you offer a review, and source of them?
thanks

Yep, closed cell foam...very nice.  I've had them for at least 5 years and still in great shape.  I'll look up to see who I got them from

I believe they are made by C Cushions:

And they are the L back cushion.
