hi,
where do you attach your jib ?
Pascal.
Hi Pascal,
I literally tie (with a short rope) my jib tack ring at the top of the stainless hoop where you have your forestay attached. You can go to either side. The ring touches the stainless piece, but there is enough slack so the tack ring sits just behind the forestay wire so it is in line with the metal jib hanks that go up the forestay wire.
So if you were attach the anchor shackle you have shown on the bail, when you tension the jib, it should raise that shackle to the top position near the forestay attachment. The banging noise if the shackle moves while you are sailing might get a bit old though? That's why I tie it to the steel hoop-no noise.
Hi,
thx , i was not far off, it was the only things i did not address with the seller.

And, if you ever decide to add a jib downhaul, you can run it through a pulley also attached to the stainless steel hoop.
It is similar to tying on the jib as described above, but the rope loop attaches the pulley instead of the jib.
Happy sailing!
Ditto with the short line from the jib tack to the same hardware that the headstay hooks up to. I like my jib foot about about 10"- 12" off the deck for a number of reasons, which I do with that line tied to the jib tack ring but I would like to use a snap shackle and fitted cable. One of these days.
