Title: Eclispe Stanchion and Lifelines
Post by: gmerrill on May 22, 2017, 12:45:38 PM
In looking at the pictures of an Eclispe with the lifelines.  They don't appear to be very functional except maybe
in the cockpit area.  I'm just looking at pictures.  What are some opinions as to spending the extra money.

Can't speak to forward, but the aft lifelines made it almost impossible for me (a geezer) to climb over to get to the dock.  So I purchased 4 push to release pins that I can insert at both the front and rear of the linelines at the cockpit.  So as to keep them from dropping in the water, I tied a short pieces of cord to each pin handle and secured it to the boat.

Will try to take a pic of it today and post.

I'm still trying to learn my boat, so others here are much smarter.
