Anyone have the V berth widest dimension handy? It would save me a trip - wanting to add a memory foam topper.
Hey Curt, I am heading down to the dock in a couple of minutes..will get them to you this afternoon.

OK: The V berth is 77in wide tapering down to 6in at the bow, it is 77.5 inches long. The insert is trapezoidal with bases of 22.25 and 12.5 inches and altitude of 12in.
I was just thinking that I did not double check all measurements but I am a little over 70in and that seems to be just about how the v-berth fits me.

My 2004 measures 80" wide at the widest, 12" wide at the narrowest, and 77" long.

I tossed a memory foam single bed sized into the berth to sleep on as a temporary measure (obviously not wide enough, nor tapered), and am now getting ready to make one for my V berth. I was planning on cutting down a queen sized topper, are their other alternatives? I can't imagine ordering a custom size would be as cheap as cutting down a standard home foam topper. I also plan on modifying a standard fitted sheet, has anyone done that?

Hey Curt: I have tried using a camping self inflating pad in the b-erth, sleeping on one of the settees and more recently one of the pads from the settees in the v-berth. None of which worked out very well.
Woud be interested in what works out for you.
regards charlie

For my 23 my initial attempt was to modify a standard fitted sheet. It did not come out very well and I scrapped it. For the second attempt I bought a King sheet on ebay, one of those hotel supply sheets and just made a fitted sheet from it. That went very well. The topper came from Big Lots, cut to the size of my 23's V-berth.
